bensyverson has currently decided to take Likn in a commercial direction. unfortunately, this shift in ben's development of Likn neccessarily separates Likn + the noncommercially oriented criticalartware {project|concern}. @ least currently, we are reformulating the criticalartware [application/platform] w/o the Likn system. this situation is infelicitous as we had loved + developed Liken as an articulation of our belief in + commitment to developing a user determined nodal network of [multiple/subjective] hystorical models [of/for] {code|concept}-based new media theorypractice. still, we are excited that the criticalartware concern functioned as an incubator for bensyverson's current Likn project + always supportive of ben's efforts. also, this current shift in [focus/flow] allows criticalartware another moment of meta_level self-reflection + reorientation to our core principles + the process of our development. in relation to these core principles we are actively + excitedly returning to a simplified + classical restatement of our basic [principles/procedures].

we articulate this re[newed/freshed/loaded] position as: criticalartware develops new media discourse by facilitating interviews with key players, participants + those involved in formative early moments of {code|concept}-based experimental [media art/artware], conversations related to these interviews + shared cultural resources connecting these conversations. criticalartware continues this important work of {examining|exploring} multiple hystories of artware + fostering these discourses by openly [sharing/exchanging] our interviews + related cultural resources. we believe this work to be even more crucial now as hystories of new media, Video Art + artware commingle in complex, contentious + troublingly unquestioned or intentionally neglected [formats/frameworks/contexts/situations].
